Macau University of Science and Technology 25th Anniversary Variety Show: Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence

Hosted by Culture and Sports Development Office (CSDO), supported by Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) Foundation, MUST Alumni Federation, and Fire Musical Art Troupe, the MUST 25th Anniversary Variety Show concluded successfully on the evening of March 27, 2025 at R109 Auditorium, Block R.

The variety show was graced by Vice Presidents of MUST Pang Chuan and Kwong Ying Wa, special guest performerS Zhang Ke Ke and “Macau Science 1” team members, Director of CSDO Chiang Siu Ling, alongside honorary doctors of MUST, presidents from mainland universities and institutions, MUST alumni representatives, and local organization delegates. Over 15,000 attendees, both in-person and online, witnessed the show.

The highlight of the night was “Swallow in the Forest”, a Kun Dance choreographed by Han Bo, Guest Associate Professor of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, inheritor of the " Intangible Cultural heritage of Jiangsu," and national first-class performer. The dance painted an elegant tableau of Jiangnan’s poetic grace.

The award-winning street dance “To Someone, Anyone”, third-place winner at the O’MA Greater Bay Area University Street Dance Competition, captivated audiences with its narrative of youth pursuing dreams through passion and perseverance. Group singing delivered a multilingual performance of “Tomorrow Will Be Better”, sung in Mandarin, English, and 10 Chinese dialects, symbolizing unity and resilience.

A poignant moment arrived when special guest performer Chair Prof. Zhang Ke Ke and his team joined the university choir for the song “The Brightest Star”, offering a heartfelt tribute to MUST’s unwavering commitment to aerospace exploration and its relentless pursuit of dreams. At the end of the evening, guests and performers toasted together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of MUST. The variety show concluded amidst applause and celebratory fireworks.

As a new chapter unfolds and ambitious visions take shape, MUST remains a global stage for students to embrace the future. Twenty-five years of excellence pave the way for boundless possibilities—the journey continues, and the pursuit of greatness remains unwavering.
