Sponsored by the Cultural and Sports Development Office of the Macau University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by the Macau University of Science and Technology Foundation, the Macau University of Science and Technology Alumni Association Federation, and the Xuanzhiyun Art Troupe, the "Art Lecture Hall" series "Rhythm Analysis of Modern Popular Music" was successfully held in the Auditorium of Block D, Macau University of Science and Technology on the afternoon of April 1st. Mr. Nie Xin, founder of Macau Trans-Music Fusion Orchestra, president of Macau Jazz International Exchange Association, co-founder of Golden Jazz, founder and head of Golden Jazz Orchestra, was invited to give a lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Nie Xin and his keyboard player played two pieces together, and the cheerful rhythm instantly ignited the scene. Then, Mr. Nie Xin led the students to start a unique journey of music creation with simple clapping. Later, Mr. Nie Xin invited the singers of his team to the stage and gave a wonderful performance together.
Next, Mr. Nie Xin invited the students to get up together and enjoy the swing of jazz with the beat. He pointed out that R&B, which everyone is familiar and loved today, evolved from these rhythms. Music is the best language of communication. Finally, Mr. Nie Xin led all the members of the band to the stage together, bringing a beautiful performance to the students. Jazz never goes alone. When modern music and jazz are perfectly integrated, an unimaginable audio-visual feast begins.
During the question and answer session, a classmate asked, "What has the emergence of AI brought to the creation of music?", Mr. Nie Xin said that Although the things made by AI are already very sophisticated, they are still very routine, so this also promotes the process of good money driving out bad money.
